You're not disorganized.
You just don't have a system.

Twenty tabs open. A half-remembered recruiter name. The nagging feeling you applied to that role twice. The Starter Tracker puts every application, contact, and follow-up in one place — so your job search stops living in your head.

The tracker arrives by email. No spam, and you can leave any time.

    What's inside the Starter Tracker

Ready to use the moment you open it. Works in Google Sheets or Excel.

    • 01

A real pipeline, not a list

Every role moves through clear stages, so you can see at a glance what's live, what's waiting, and what's closed.

    • 02

      Colour-coded status

Applied, interviewing, offer, rejected — each one reads instantly without you squinting at a wall of text.

    • 03

      Follow-up reminders

A dated follow-up column so the roles you actually care about don't quietly go cold on you.

    • 04

      A contact log

Names, emails, and where you met them. The recruiter who liked you in March is worth remembering in June.

    • 05

      Notes that hold detail

Referral source, salary range, what the posting actually said — context you'll want before the interview.

    • 06

      A weekly dashboard

Counts that update themselves, so progress is a number you can see instead of a feeling you don't trust.

A job search is a project. It deserves the same rigour you'd give any project at work.

    Why I built this

I spent more than a decade in transportation and logistics — accounts receivable, billing, chasing missing paperwork, and resolving disputes that other people had given up on. The work taught me one thing that transfers to almost everything: when something matters, you track it.

Then I ran my own search for account management and pricing roles, and watched myself do the exact opposite. Applications in my head. Contacts in three different places. No idea which approaches were working.

So I built the system I needed, and then wrote the book that explains how to run it. The Starter Tracker is the first piece of that system, and it's yours free.
